Tsu Photovoltaic Power Plant’s operation begins
～Towards developing Non-FIT Plants～
PHOTON group is pleased to announce that Tsu PV power plant which our group has been developing since 2016 started its operation.
Our group has been developing and operating more than 100 MW PV plants and out of which this plant is our 18th plant that has started operation in Japan.
This new PV plant is built on the former golf course of approximately 1,500,000㎡ where 65,140 PV panels have been installed. It is estimated that it will produce 27,160,000kWh annually. (equivalent to about 7,544 household’s yearly electric consumption*1)
PHOTON group aims to develop PV power plants that do not rely on FIT system from next year onwards to be in line with Japanese government policy to maximize the installation of renewable energy by 2030. Through the development of PV power plants, we will continue to contribute to the development of a sustainable clean energy society by realizing corporate PPA.
